Field Demonstration Event Hosted By The Virginia DEQ Was A Success!

Last month, approximately 50 people attended a special field demonstration in Richmond, VA, which was co-sponsored by the Virginia Dept. of Environmental Quality and Geoprobe® Systems. Team Geoprobe sends special thanks to Meade Anderson, VA.DEQ and to David Sayer, Virginia Geotech, Inc. for their efforts in coordinating the demonstration site.

Team Geoprobe set up five stations for active field demonstrations for the event. Those demonstrations included:

• Membrane Interface Probe (MIP)
• Slug Testing with SP16 Groundwater Sampler and Pneumatic Slug Test Kit
• Monitoring Well Construction with Pre-packed Screens and Low flow - Low turbidity sampling with Geoprobe® Mechanical Bladder Pump (MBP).
• Continuous and discreet soil sampling with MC5 (heavy duty Macro-Core® soil sampling system)
• Standard Penetration Test/Split Barrel Sampling with Direct Push Equipment.

Following the demonstration a number of attendees took the Geoprobe® 6620DT Track Unit for a spin using the wireless remote control.
