1. Insert tool with release ring clips inside the screen head which has the screen attached. Extension rods are used to lower the screen assembly into the DT22 Cutting Shoe.

2. Pushing down on the extension rods as the 2.25 in. rods are retracted seats the screen head in the cutting shoe and simultaneously pushes the release ring up on the bladed insert tool. The release ring compresses the toothed blades so the insert tool will disengage from the screen head and leave the screen in place.

3. To retrieve the screen, the thick-bladed retrieve tool is lowered through the rod bore and latched into the screen head. A steady pull or gentle bump will unseat the screen so it can be removed. To advance to the next depth interval, the 1.0 in. probe rods with a solid drive point are reinserted into the cutting shoe.
