Heavy-Wall Tubing Adds Strength
The 1.5 in. probe rod series by Geoprobe® Systems was designed to be the primary probe rod for the Macro-Core® Soil Sampling System, the SP16 Groundwater Sampling System, and various logging tasks with 6600 series machines.  The 1.5 in. rods utilize a heavy-wall tubing for maximum strength in the threaded areas.  A rounded thread pattern makes up in less than two turns, and an O-ring groove allows for sealing of the rods during probing operations.

1.5 in. Probe Rods...0.625 in. (15.9 mm) ID. Alloy steel. Heat treated to inhibit fracturing and fatigue. O-ring groove for watertight seal at each joint. Tapered end for easy joint make up. Multi-lead provides for quick connections to standard Geoprobe® sampling and logging tools. Geoprobe® proprietary rounded thread system, hardened for maximum durability.
