Wrecked machine, older machine needing upgrades, or not-so-old machine...
Thinking about refurbishing your Geoprobe® machine?
"The refurbish option, although it takes a little longer, is a great value. In some cases, the customer takes home a machine with current updates which is better than the machine they originally purchased." -- Darren Stanley
All types of provisions are made to keep personnel safe on the job site, but when
operator error ... the operator of another motor vehicle ... causes problems for your subsurface machine, Geoprobe® Systems has the solution. If your Geoprobe® machine ends up like the Fisch Environmental Model 5400/PC100, the Geoprobe® Resource Service Center has a retrofit/repair program developed to get your damaged or limping machine back in the field.
“Repairs, upgrades, and refrubishing can also be scheduled for machines who seem sluggish on the job,” explains Darren Stanley, Geoprobe® Resource Service Center. “We can also check and replace wear parts, or help those machines needing an ‘extreme makeover’!” Regardless of the service option, every machine gets a thorough check. Slides, angle brackets, hoses, hose carriers, upper and lower hammer assemblies, the control panel, and any other high-wear component that looks suspicious gets checked and the customer gets a listing and quote of suggested repairs.
There are several options for machine service:
- Carrier Vehicle Upgrade ... All new hydraulic and electrical components are installed and the existing probe machine is moved to a new vehicle.

- Machine Repairs ... Problem areas are targeted and repairs to specific parts are made.
- Machine Refurbishing ... This is a popular option for customers who want repairs made and the probe machine repainted. This requires the total disassembly of the machine, then it’s sandblasted, repainted, and then reassembled using all new pins, slides, decals, hydraulic hoses, and electrical wiring to the control panel and switches.
No matter what option is selected, the Geoprobe® machine leaving the Service Center will be ready for many more work hours in the field. The winter months are a great time to have your machine checked out and serviced. Call 1-800-436-7762 for details.
